The hut and campsite is available for anyone in Girlguiding and Trefoil Northamptonshire  to use either during the day or for overnight stays.
We are sorry but we cannot  accept any external bookings

The site has stunning views on to open countryside and is a peaceful private location for camps, overnight stays, day and evening visits.

Jubilee Hut

The Jubilee hut was built in 2004 and this offers comfortable accommodation for overnight stays for 18 people and also facilities for camps of 36.

Jubilee Campsite

The site has access to a spinney which gives opportunities for backwoods and patrol cooking, camp fires and challenges. There is parking for up to ten cars. Jubilee Camp Site has an inside disabled toilet and Leaders room in the hut, covered outside toilets and wash cubicles and four storage sheds for equipment.

We have an area behind the hut which has been resurfaced and makes a great flat play area, cat walk or a super bowling alley.  There are a variety of skittles and bowling balls in the cupboards under the seating at the back of the hut, near a new bag of play equipment.  You choose how many play.  We suggest you put the Skittles between half and two thirds down the alley but it is entirely up to you. Enjoy and don’t forget to buy a bowling badge.

Our new brick built pizza oven is very easy to use and makes a delicious meal

Update 30/04/2026 – Jubilee is celebrating its 90th birthday and we have created a challenge that might be useful for your visit.  Laminated copies of this challenge will be at the site.   Please find a copy of this challenge in the Useful Information tab

To Book Jubilee please view the ‘Jubilee Availability Calendar’ and fill out the form there.
  • Electric lighting, power sockets, Gas central heating and hot water.
  • Fully fitted kitchen with freezer, fridge and electric hob
  • 2 electric showers, 4 flushing toilets and wash basins in separate cubicles
  • Camp beds, plates, mugs, bowls and cutlery for 18 staying inside the hut
  • Separate leaders room with bench seating
  • Fully equipped for 36 campers
  • Altar fire and BBQ
  • Sufficient tables and chairs for outside and in
  • Games equipment such as parachute and rounders
  • Archery, Pioneering, Crafts, and the Jubilee Challenge!
  • Bowling Alley
  • Craft Shops and Church in Castle Ashby village.
  • Northampton Town is only a few miles away with shops, swimming, museums, cinemas, theatres etc.
  • Wicksteed Park in Kettering
  • The Nene White Water Centre (where the County Bellboats are moored)
Day Bookings are split into 3 sessions;

Morning 9.00-13.00

Afternoon 13.00-17.00

Evening 17.00-21.00

OR all 3 sessions 9.00am-9.00pm

Booking fee of £22.00 for any one session or £44 for two or more sessions. 

There is also a charge of £2.00 per head for every person over the number of 20.  Please fill out the remittance form after the event with your cheque payment for additional people and any souvenirs/badges purchased.

All Overnight Camp & Hut

Deposit of £50 initially then the cost of every over-night attendee is £5.75 per head per night.  Day visitors are £2.00 per head per day – this is payable after the event on the remittance form,  your original deposit is deducted if the per-head charge comes over the £50 paid and any souvenirs/badges purchased are added on.

Fire information – Familiarise yourself with;

  • Fire Action (see noticeboard)
  • Use of and position of Fire extinguishers and Blankets and Fire Assembly point
  • Hold a Fire Drill on day of arrival
  • Complete your own risk assessment if you have any different or unusual activities or equipment
Jubilee is not available to hire outside of Guiding

Making a Booking

Use the enquiry form in the ‘view availability calendar’ tab and input your dates and all relevant details. If the date is available we will email you the booking form.  This must be returned to us within 14 days with the payment to secure.
