Lets celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee together with a beacon lighting ceremony

The beacon lighting event will start at 17.30 at Wicksteed Park on Thursday 2nd June 2022 and will have a staggered finish time for each section.

Rainbows – 19.30
Brownies – 20.00
Guides and Rangers – 20.30
Leaders – 22.00

This is a free event but you can choose to bring your unit and enjoy the whole day at Wicksteed Park and take advantage of our discounted wristband cost of £15.00

Please wear uniform and be prepared for all weather as this is an outdoor event.  Girls should also bring a packed tea.

We are looking for volunteers to help out at this event email office@girlguidingnorthamptonshire.org.uk if you are interested

This is an overnight, indoors event, for those who will be aged 13-18 in July 2023 and who would like to be considered for the opportunity to have an adventure overseas.

The Girlguiding Northamptonshire international opportunities event will be held 7th to 8th May 2022, the cost will be £17.50, (Payment details and information form will be sent with confirmation if you are offered a place on the event).

Fill out the form with as much information as possible and return to the International Adviser by 1st April 2022

During the event we will be looking for participants to fill the spaces that we have been offered for Midland Region international trips taking place during 2023. We want to learn more about you so that we can match appropriate people to the spaces we have. Additionally, we hope that you will have fun, learn something to share with your units and make new Girlguiding friends.

Backwoods Challenge 2022

Guides & Scouts take on a team challenge

• To present 3 Edible meals cooked backwoods style

• To create a shelter that is fit to sleep in overnight

• Cost £26 per team of 5

If you are up to the challenge, teams of 5 can register before February 11th 2022.

Are you thinking about taking your girls away, do you need help with this scheme? Want to find out more that’s involved with no obligation?

Save the date 10th – 12th June 2022 and book your place at the Jubilee Camp Site, Castle Ashby. Cost £25 pp.

There will be the opportunity for you to come to Jubilee, pitch your tent and stay the weekend, learning on the job so to speak by having a weekend of fun learning. There will also be the opportunity for inside sleeping in the hut if you prefer.

Can’t make the whole weekend, come as you can.
